Our Story

At Verbal, we prioritize individualized learning experiences through our 1-1 online lessons and small group courses. Our flexible scheduling options make it possible for students to fit personalized language learning into their busy timetables.

Verbal (formerly FreedomWithEnglish) began in 2020 with a mission to revolutionize language education by tailoring our learning programs to students’ immediate needs and interests, thus providing practical and engaging lessons with visible results. Preparing learning plans using a polyglot mentality provides our students with lessons that make them speak a language, instead of just ‘knowing’ it.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve had the privilege of working with students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and with objectives ranging from the common “order at a restaurant when traveling” to high-stakes events such as giving a product demonstration to a foreign delegation or applying to work as part of an English-speaking team. Our teachers have experience working with students of all ages (our youngest student to date was just 5 years old and our oldest was 78) and we are always eager to tackle new challenges together with our students.

Personalization

We believe in tailoring language education to individual needs, ensuring a customized learning experience that fosters student growth and success. Don’t be afraid of coming to us with your unique objectives even if other schools have refused. We’ve had parents who wanted superhero-focused lessons for their kids and adult students who wanted to listen to songs and learn vocabulary and grammar that way. Regardless of what your style is, we’ll work with it.

Flexibility

We’re proud to offer flexibility in terms of scheduling and payment. We know that life can get busy and language learning unfortunately isn’t always a priority. We’re here to help change that. We have teachers available from early mornings to late evenings 7 days a week meaning that you can take your classes before/after your daily commitments or on weekends. Our flexible payment plans allow students to pay weekly or monthly, depending on what suits them best.

Empathy

Most of our teachers speak at least 3 languages. We know what it’s like to be a beginner and struggle with the basics of a foreign language. We know that some topics are more difficult than others (especially for native speakers of certain languages) and we know that motivation just isn’t always there. Our teachers will make sure you get where you want to be without pushing too hard.
